I hope that you have all had a fabulous Christmas and new year and are back, raring to go and hit the challenges of 2018 with gusto! I’ll be with you every step of the way offering advice and guidance on the current and future HR issues and legislation changes as the year goes on.
Already we know that this year will see the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulations (see the article below if you’re unsure what this is all about) as well as the impact of the ongoing Brexit negotiations rumbling on throughout the year. It will also be the first full year since 2013 that employment tribunals are fee free which will bring an anticipated rise in claims from disgruntled employees. Therefore, now more than ever it’s vital that your HR processes and policies are up to date and your managers are confident when dealing with their staff issues.
If you find yourselves with an issue and you need to get some advice, just pick up the phone, even if it’s just for a chat – I’ll never tell you what to do (that’s not how I operate) but instead will talk you through all the options available to you so that you make the best decision for the business.
